AMERICAN IDOL’ DIG$ DEEP… FOR GAGA

Gossip sources claim that Lady Gaga’s price tag is now a quarter-million dollars– even for “American Idol”.

When producers approached her, she demanded a paycheck of $250,000 to appear on the hit Fox show. Producers of the show hesitated to pay her that amount of money.

A source tells OK! mag, “They thought it was just crazy she was asking for so much money. It was just too much money to pay talent for a performance.”

But “Idol” producers reached a deal, and Lady Gaga taped her performance for next week’s American Idol Top 5 Results Show.

Gaga performed a dash of “Bad Romance” on the piano, and will then break into her current hit “Alejandro.”

A witness says, “Lady Gaga will make some jaws hit the ground as she wears a black thong with a revealing black fishnet bodysuit. It’s a typical provocative costume, but it’s a little shocking.”

Her costume is a black fishnet bodysuit with black sequined accents.

Lady Gaga even uses blood in this performance, which was very reminiscent of her performance of “Paparazzi” on the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Unlike other past performers on AI, Lady Gaga’s stage is rather elaborate, which is pretty dark, full of smoke to create mystery, and danger.   An angel that shoots fire on a mirrored platform will hold court on stage, as well as black thorn-like trees with black poison ivy, and razor blade benches dripping in blood along the stage.

Sources say it’s a bit surprising to see such a provocative costume and performance on a “family show.”

And, “After looking at her costume, stage and production, it is easy to conclude a good chunk of change was spent on her performance.”

The choreography is all original, and exclusively created for this episode of American Idol. It will not be repeated on any of her upcoming tours.

The performance will air on Wednesday, May 5 along with Harry Connick Jr. who is the Idols’ mentor of the week.

BUFFALO STATE COLLEGE STUDENT DRESS DESIGN!!!

DETAILS: Runway 3.0 Fashion Extravaganza Scheduled for May 1

Pierce Arrow Building Provides Dramatic Setting for Popular Event

Technology: Progression/Obsession is the theme of this year’s Runway 3.0 fashion extravaganza to be staged in the dramatic, storied industrial space of the Pierce Arrow administration building, Elmwood Ave., on May 1, by faculty and students in the Buffalo State College Fashion Textile Technology Program.

Directed by Erin Habes, faculty member in the Buffalo State Fashion Technology Program, the show will feature collections by Fashion Program senior design students, fiber design students, alumni, and local designers.  Music by Shock & Awe, a pulsating light show, and a 50-foot runway walk through the cavernous space will be the main attractions of the popular spring event.

“This year, the Pierce Arrow space has really captured our imaginations,” Habes commented.  “It’s 20,000 square feet with seating for 600 — loaded with character and history.”

Designed by Architect Albert Kahn in 1906, the building was the headquarters for the manufacture of the world renowned Pierce-Arrow automobiles.  Seventy years later, Buffalo rock star Rick James used the facility for band practice; rumor has it that before he would start, he would unload rounds from hi 32-caliber pistol into the walls – evidence of which can be seen today.  The space itself is a cavernous dome intercut with industrial beams and girders.

“It’s the perfect setting for the event and our theme,” said Habes.  “The designs will play with the ideas of extremes in fashion, the role of technology in our culture, and the revolutionary speed of progress in both fashion and the world around us.”

Two shows will be held.  Tickets for the 4 p.m. show are $10 for general admission and $7 for students.  The 9 p.m. show offers two options:  $20 general admission, including post event dessert reception, and $100 VIP, which includes the after party, as well as the catered 7 p.m. pre-party.  Proceeds benefit the Fashion Students of Buffalo State College Scholarship Foundation.

The growth of the Runway event is a result of support from the Fashion Technology program and faculty, The Fashion Advisory Board (especially Genesee Community College), the Technology Department, the School of Professions, the Burchfield Penney Art Center, College Relations, Instructional Resources, Events Management and numerous other campus support services.

The event has become a showcase for Design student exhibits, in particular students of faculty members Jozef Bajus and Carol Townsend. This year, in addition to the $1,000 Nancy Belfer Award for the senior collection, there will be a $500 award sponsored by Technology Professor Elaine Polvinen for the Art-to-Wear design student category of the show. Also new this year, students and faculty in the Buffalo State Hospitality Department will cater the VIP pre-party and the post Runway dessert reception.

A far-reaching collaboration of campus and community, Runway events are made possible by the participation of alumni, WNY designers, and members of the business community.  Production and staging of the event are the work of students as part of their curriculum with Habes.  Senior collections are created in a class guided by Technology Lecturer David Brinson.

PARIS HILTON COULD BE DATING ‘GLEE’ HUNK… (OR NOT)

Gossip sources claims Paris Hilton is now hooking up with “Glee”’s Mark Salling. He plays reformed bad boy Puck on the hit TV show.

She broke up with/dumped?… “The Hills” star Doug Reinhardt earlier this month.

And according to OK! magazine, Paris has already introduced Salling to her parents.

MY FAVORITE RAPPER has a new song… and it sounds like someone went back to the “Marshall Mathers LP” Drawing Board and I, for one, couldn’t be more happy, the song is the best he’s done in quite some time.  I cannot link to the song…. but I CAN give you the (edited) lyrics… so here ya go:

I’m not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We’ll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you’re not alone
Holla if you feel that you’ve been down the same road

Yeah, It’s been a ride…
I guess i had to go to that place to get to this one
Now some of you might still be in that place
If you’re trying to get out, just follow me
I’ll get you there

You can try and read my lyrics off of this paper before I lay ‘em
But you won’t take this thing out these words before I say ‘em
Cause ain’t no way I’m let you stop me from causing mayhem
When I say ‘em or do something I do it, I don’t give a damn
What you think, I’m doing this for me, so f*** the world
Feed it beans, it’s gassed up, if a thing’s stopping me
I’mma be what I set out to be, without a doubt undoubtedly
And all those who look down on me I’m tearing down your balcony
No if ands or buts don’t try to ask him why or how can he
From Infinite down to the last Relapse album he’s still sh** and
Whether he’s on salary, paid hourly
Until he bows out or he sh**’s his bowels out of him
Whichever comes first, for better or worse
He’s married to the game, like a f*** you for christmas
His gift is a curse, forget the earth he’s got the urge
To pull his d**k from the dirt and f*** the universe

I’m not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We’ll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you’re not alone
Holla if you feel that you’ve been down the same road

Ok quit playin’ with the scissors and sh**, and cut the crap
I shouldn’t have to rhyme these words in the rhythm for you to know it’s a rap
You said you was king, you lied through your teeth
For that f*** your feelings, instead of getting crowned you’re getting capped
And to the fans, I’ll never let you down again, I’m back
I promise to never go back on that promise, in fact
Let’s be honest, that last Relapse CD was “ehhhh”
Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground
Relax, I ain’t going back to that now
All I’m tryna say is get back, click-clack BLAOW
Cause I ain’t playin’ around
There’s a game called circle and I don’t know how
I’m way too up to back down
But I think I’m still tryna figure this crap out
Thought I had it mapped out but I guess I didn’t
This f***ing black cloud’s still follow’s me around
But it’s time to exercise these demons
These motherf***ers are doing jumping jacks now!

I’m not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We’ll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you’re not alone
Holla if you feel that you’ve been down the same road

And I just can’t keep living this way
So starting today, I’m breaking out of this cage
I’m standing up, Imma face my demons
I’m manning up, Imma hold my ground
I’ve had enough, now I’m so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now

It was my decision to get clean, I did it for me
Admittedly i probably did it subliminally for you
So I could come back a brand new me, you helped see me through
And don’t even realize what you did, believe me you
I been through the wringer, but they can do little to the middle finger
I think I got a tear in my eye, I feel like the king of
My world, haters can make like bees with no stingers, and drop dead
No more beef flingers, no more drama from now on, I promise
To focus soley on handling my responsibility’s as a father
So I solemnly swear to always treat this roof like my daughters and raise it
You couldn’t lift a single shingle lonely
Cause the way I feel, I’m strong enough to go to the club
Or the corner pub and lift the whole liquor counter up
Cause I’m raising the bar, I shoot for the moon
But I’m too busy gazing at stars, I feel amazing and

I’m not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We’ll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you’re not alone
Holla if you feel that you’ve been down the same road

‘IDOL’ SURPRISE?!…

Siobhan Magnus, the 20-year-old glass blower, was eliminated from “American Idol” last night.

The judges liked her rendition of Shania Twain’s “Any Man of Mine” on Tuesday’s show, but the gal from Marstons Mills, Mass. received the fewest viewer votes.

Joining her in the bottom three were 27-year-old construction worker Casey James of Fort Worth, Texas, and 26-year-old personal trainer Michael Lynche of Queens, N.Y.

The other finalists still in the singing competition are: 24-year-old musician Crystal Bowersox of Toledo, Ohio; 24-year-old paint sales clerk Lee Dewyze of Mount Prospect, Ill.; and 17-year-old high school student Aaron Kelly from Sonestown, Pa.

Next week, the singers will be mentored by Harry Connick Jr. and perform songs from Frank Sinatra

Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner are apparently going public with their relationship. The two were seen at the club Industry in Los Angeles and they weren’t holding back their affection for each other.

They were at a friend’s birthday party and were making out all night. When they weren’t making out they were holding hands. At one point Avril was even sitting in Brody’s lap.

LISTEN: THE CAST OF JERSEY BOYS

SANDRA BULLOCK’S NEW BABY!

SANDRA BULLOCK is making major changes in her life.  She tells People magazine in an exclusive interview that she has filed for divorce from husband JESSE JAMES, and that she’s adopted a three-and-a-half month old baby boy named LOUIS.

On ending her five-year marriage to James in the wake of revelations that he allegedly cheated on her numerous times, Bullock tells the magazine, “I’m sad and I am scared.”  As for her new son, Louis Bardo Bullock, he was born in New Orleans, and she tells People, “He’s just perfect. I can’t even describe him any other way.  It’s like he’s always been a part of our lives.”

Bullock says she and James startted the adoption process four years ago and actually brought the baby home in January, but decided to keep the adoption a secret until after the Oscars.  But ten days after the Oscars, Bullock and James separated.  She says she’s now going to finalize the adoption as a single parent.

‘IDOL’ GOES COUNTRY, WITH SHANIA

Crystal Bowersox’s ‘American Idol’ competitors stepped up, during an evening of Shania Twain tunes.

The show’s judges weren’t blown away by Crystal’s folksy rendition of “No One Needs To Know”. They still kinda liked it though.

Aaron Kelly, the 17-year-old high school student from Sonestown, Pa., won back the judges with his version of Shana’s “You’ve Got a Way”.

24-year-old Lee Dewyze of Mount delivered an edgy “Still the One,” 26-year-old Michael Lynche of gave an emotional rendiion of “It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing” and 27-year-old Casey James of impressed with a raw take on “Don’t!”

Siobhan Magnus
closed the show with “Any Man of Mine.”

Another finalist will get the boot tonight, leaving five singers in the competition.

4.26.10

So the Coachella Music Festival was a little over a week ago.
For those unfamiliar, Coachella is a 3-day music festival (similar to Woodstock) that takes place every year in Southern California.
This years lineup boasted over 100 artists including the likes of Jay-Z, Muse, The Gorillaz and more.
As you can imagine there are two types of people who come to festivals like this. Those that come for the music and the experience and those that come to party. Cause in essence it is a 3-day party!
The video you are about to see is that of a guy who i think fits the second category a little bit more than the first category.
Its a nice little struggle between a man and his attempt to get on his flip-flops. Enjoy

DRUNK GUY AT COACHELLA

So this video has gotten so much attention over the past week its even posted on the front page of the Coachella official website here: http://www.coachella.com/

So there’s alot goin on in that video that i just love.
1. kudos to the nice guy who was walking by and in an instant lightly kicked the flip-flop closer to the drunk guy so that he could put it on easier.
2. how he still, in all of his drunkeness, tried to pick up girls towards the middle of the video. God only knows how that conversation sounded. Judging by the looks on the girls faces im sure he was pretty hilarious.
3. how when all was said and done, and he got BOTH his flip-flops on (for like the 2nd or 3rd time). he walks away like normal (well not really normal but LESS drunk-looking than he did in the whole video)

There’s so much going on i can see what over 2.5 million people have now viewed this in the past week.
Also i apologize for the video not being embedded on this site like all the other ones. Once in awhile someone posts a video on Youtube where they ‘disable’ the embedding option (for whatever stupid reason) so i have to find an alternative way of posting it on my blog and sharing it with you.
So what do you think? Make you wanna go to Coachella next year?
Im judging by Feb or March of next year they will have tickets available along with next years lineup. And who knows? maybe by then we will learn the indentity of the Drunken Flip-Flop guy and you can contact him for a place to stay when down there. At least you know it will be entertaining by the looks of the video!
