PAULA ABDUL VS ‘IDOL’ IN PRIME TIME?

Paula Abdul could face off against “American Idol” this season in the same time slot.

The former ‘Idol’ judge’s new CBS reality competition “Live to Dance” is being scheduled for a time period that’s likely to compete against the Fox hit show.

CBS has announced that “Live to Dance” will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. starting in January.

“Idol” usually debuts in mid January.

“Live to Dance” will kick off with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. before moving to its regular time period.

The premiere will follow dancers from across the country auditioning for Paula Abdul and dance experts Travis Payne and Kimberly Wyatt. Starting Wednesday, Jan. 12, dance acts will compete against each other live on CBS.

ALICIA KEYS WROTE A NEW BLOG ABOUT HER BABY SON, EGYPT

Alicia Keys wrote her first blog about the experience of having her baby son, Egypt. Her post was called “I Feel a Song Coming on.”

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE CHEATED WITH ACTRESS OLIVIA MUNN… REP DENIES IT

US Weekly is reporting that Justin Timberlake cheated on Jessica Biel with actress Olivia Munn during a steamy three day affair. (One source said the two “had amazing sex”.)

Timberlake’s rep denies the story, and Munn’s rep does not comment on her personal life.

Another insider told People, the claims are not true, and Timberlake and Biel were seen together in a club looking very affectionate and happy.

MILEY’S MOM, DAD ARE DIVORCING

Miley Cyrus’s parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, are divorcing after 17 years of marriage.

The couple has five children. Divorce papers were filed Wednesday in Tennessee citing irreconcilable differences.

In a statement they said: “As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family. We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”

Billy Ray is asking for “shared” custody of the couple’s 3 minor children.

He’s also asking the court to “approve a parenting plan” to be signed by both Billy Ray and Tish … and to make an “equitable distribution of the marital estate.”

The Martins are an average American family. They’re also human billboards.

Wherever they go, they’re advertising. Even when they’re on vacation!

The dad got the idea after hearing about a guy who started a mini-T-shirt wearing empire called “I Wear Your Shirt.” He liked the idea but didn’t want to copy him directly. He thought he could go in a completely different direction with it.

The family blogs, Facebooks and gives Twitter updates. They also create YouTube videos to talk to their online community about the company they’re wearing and its products. They have 3,000 followers on Twitter.

They launched the company last month but won’t start wearing the T-shirts until next year.

They’ve already booked an Australian company that makes jewelry and patches for kids, as well as a day spa.

TAYLOR SWIFT, JAKE GYLLENHAAL FIRST DATE

 APPLE PICKINGUS Weekly is dishing more gossip regarding the special weekend Taylor Swift spent with Jake Gyllenhaal.

After attending a taping for “Saturday Night Live”, they went apple picking, and enjoyed a brunch together.

According to a local spy, they were seen walking through the trees having fun together at the apple orchard. Gyllenhaal picked up the $3 tab on the way out of the orchard.

This relationship is new, like 2 weeks new, but both of them seem to be into each other.

KANYE WEST VOTED MORE INFLUENTIAL THAN OBAMA– JON STEWART IS TOPS

Kayne West was voted more influential than President Obama in AskMen.com’s fifth annual poll.

The rapper was voted the 5th most Influential Man in the poll, while Obama came in 21st.

Coming in number one was “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart. 

Bill Gates came in second.

Well this weeks ‘YouTube video of the week’ is kind of a continuation of sorts…from last weeks.
To get you up to speed, last week the folks at Final Fear ‘mocked me’ for going thru the haunted houses w/ friends but choosing to be in the back when i did (aka i only did that during ONE of the four haunted houses but whatev)
So they challenged me to go thru all four houses BY MYSELF. And because im always down for a good challenge…i accepted.

SHY GUY SHAWN GOES THRU FINAL FEAR ALONE

Big shout-out to the folks over at Final Fear for once again proving they not only have WNY’s Scariest Haunted house/s but the most entertaining as well.
The attention to detail in some of these rooms is astounding as is the commitment to the character some of these workers have.
I already cant wait for next Halloween season to hopefully do it again!

JAKE GYLLENHAAL, TAYLOR SWIFT SPEND WEEKEND TOGETHER

Jake Gyllenhaal and country music sweetie Taylor Swift spent the weekend together in New York City. 

Taylor brought Jake to a “Saturday Night Live taping and on Sunday they were spotted brunching and taking a stroll in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood.

Witnesses say they were just talking but there was no kissing or holding hands.

Their reps would not comment.

It’s official! Russell Brand and Katy Perry tied the knot Saturday night in India.

A statement said that 35 year old Russell and 25 year old Katy were “pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23. The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples’ closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India.”

The couple exchanged vows at a luxury resort. Earlier in the day, two elephants named Laxmi and Mala were seen arriving at the resort. As the animals walked into the venue, a red carpet was rolled out for them.

In a traditional Indian wedding procession, known as the “bharat,” the bridegroom and his male relatives and friends walk to the spot where the bride awaits. The bridegroom is usually on a white horse, but an elephant is considered an even grander, more magnificent mode of transportation.

The sound of Indian instruments could be heard from the Aman-i-Khas resort, along with some chanting and the occasional applause and cheering by the guests.

In the days leading up to the wedding, Russ and Katy went all out. They celebrated Friday night with a Bollywood-themed party. Russell wore a white “kurta pyjama”, while Katy wore a plain red sari. Many of the guests wore similar outfits.

When guests arrived they were greeted by acrobats and jugglers in Indian outfits. Guests were also treated to song and dance performances, shopping and even safaris.

When Katy Perry said “I do” to Russell Brand, she wore an Elie Saab haute couture dress.

Katy had planned to have a rotating bridal wardrobe for the private and spiritual ceremony.

There are reports that Katy Perry’s BFF Rihanna wasn’t able to attend Katy’s wedding in India.

Rihanna apparently had to skip the ceremony because of work commitments.

Katy had already booked a special room for Rhi Rhi, but she didn’t have any hard feelings toward the cancellation and “totally understood” why she wasn’t able to attend.

If there a fourth judge on the set of “American Idol”?

The NY Post reports that Jennifer Lopez’s manager, Benny Medina, is constantly on set with Lopez during filming of the show. He chats with her about the contestants during breaks.

One insider even added that Medina “communicates with Lopez constantly” during production.

A rep for Lopez said, “Benny is a frustrated judge and has nothing to do [with judging contestants]. Jennifer loves this job and is having a wonderful time.”

Lopez signed a reported $12 million deal to be a judge for the 10th season of the hit Fox show alongside Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and music producer Randy Jackson.

Sources say Lopez and Tyler put contestants through ringers, making them prove their talent by singing multiple songs in several musical categories and evaluating “the whole package” during the first round of auditions taking place across the country.

“The bar is high”.

In comparing former judge Paula Abdul with Lopez and Tyler, our insider said: “If Paula liked the song a constestant sang, then they got right through. For Steven and Jennifer, there’s much more thought behind it. It’s about the package: endurance, timing, how much you want it, and can you sing more than just one genre of music.”

Meanwhile, an insider adds that Tyler’s “one-liners are superb. When he’s on, he’s fantastic.”

‘Jersey Shore’ star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has a new book coming out– referred to as “the bible for Situation Nation.”

The title:  ‘Here’s the Situation: A Guide to Creeping on Chicks, Avoiding Grenades, and Getting in Your GTL on the Jersey Shore.’

According to Amazon, “This book will take your game to a level thought unattainable, given your physical limitations (because we can’t all look like Rambo, pretty much, with our shirt off) … From there it’s my guide to the ‘Jersey Shore,’ battle plans for the club, a primer on grenades and wingmen, and tips for ridding yourself of all levels of clinger.”
