MOST OF OUR FACEBOOK FRIENDS ARE ANNOYING
A study found that Facebook friends may not be all that friendly.
85% of women admitted they have been annoyed by their Facebook friends’ postings.
The survey of more than 400 women (from Eversave )found 79% of women use Facebook to keep their friends informed of their lives. 64% do it to share information.
But 85% said their Facebook buddies use the site to brag or overshare.
They feel too many people complain all the time, share political views or brag “about seemingly perfect lives.”
‘JERSEY SHORE’ IN CONTRACT DISPUTE
It looks like there is another contract battle brewing between MTV and the cast of “Jersey Shore.”
Sources say Snooki, The Situation, J-Woww and Pauly D have not finalized their contracts because they can’t agree on the amount.
As of last week, Deena hadn’t signed her contract either but Ronnie, Sammi, and Vinny were done.
Last year the cast refused to sign a contract until they were offered a better deal.
‘AMERICAN IDOL’ FINALISTS SING ELTON JOHN CLASSICS
Elton John songs were performed by the “American Idol” finalists.
James Durbin, the 22-year-old rocker from Santa Cruz, Calif., was accompanied by a flaming piano for “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”.
Casey Abrams, the 20-year-old film camp counselor from Idyllwild, Calif., impressed the judges with a tender rendition of “Your Song.”
Judge Randy Jackson told Scotty McCreery, the 17-year-old high school student from Garner, N.C., he was “in the zone” while performng “Country Comfort,” and Haley Reinhart, the 20-year-old college student from Wheeling, Ill., had the night’s best performance after closing with “Bennie and the Jets.”
Jacob Lusk, the 23-year-old spa concierge from Compton, Calif., and Pia Toscano, the 22-year-old make-up artist from Howard Beach, N.Y., both received positive feedback from the judges. Jacob sang “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word,” and Pia delivered “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”
Naima Adedapo, the 26-year-old dance instructor from Milwaukee, didn’t impress Jennifer Lopez or Randy Jackson on with her reggae rendition of “I’m Still Standing.” Lopez said she wasn’t sure if that was the right song for Naima, while Jackson called it “kinda corny.”
Randy Jackson also wasn’t raving about 16-year-old high school student Thia Megia of Mountain House, Calif., or 26-year-old singer-songwriter Paul McDonald of Nashville, Tenn. He felt Thia’s take on “Daniel” was “once again very safe,” and warned Paul to “allow yourself to go all the way” after he performed a mellow “Rocket Man.”
Stefano Langone, the 21-year-old crooner from Kent, Wash., was praised by the panel for connecting with the crowd on “Tiny Dancer”.
Judge Stephen Tyler told Lauren Alaina, the 16-year-old high school student from Rossville, Ga., she was on fire with “Candle in the Wind.”
Two of the 11 finalists are scheduled to be eliminated tonight.
