KATE’S WEDDING DRESS REVEALED

J.LO: WHEN IT COMES TO WOMEN ON THE SET OF ‘IDOL’, SHE’S J. HELL-NO

Sources say “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez is already getting a reputation on the set.

Observers describe her as a “guy’s girl.”

She is sweet and cuddly and adorable whenever there’s a man around. But if there’s not a guy in sight and she’s in the presence of women, Jennifer instantly becomes grouchy and curt and she has no time for pleasantries.

Is it any wonder why she’s the only female judge on the show…??

LISTEN: JAMES DESBOROUGH US. EDITOR OF NEWS OF THE WORLD ON THE ROYAL WEDDING

‘AMERICAN IDOL’ RECAP: CAROLE KING TUNES

Scotty McCreery, the deep-voiced 17-year-old country crooner, won over the panel with his rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend” on ‘American Idol’s evening of Carole King tunes.

But it was 22-year-old rocker James Durbin who was labed a front-runner.

Randy Jackson predicted that Durbin “just might win the whole thing” after his reworking of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.” Steven Tyler claimed he “saw God” after Haley Reinhart’s upbeat rendition of “Beautiful.”

Jacob Lusk and Lauren Alaina were praised for going outside their comfort zones. Jacob performed “Oh No Not My Baby,” while Lauren reached for the high notes on “Where You Lead” (the ‘Gimore Girls’ theme). Miley Cyrus showed up to give Lauren some advice.

Casey Abrams gave jazzy performance of “Hi-De-Ho,” (by Blood, Sweat and Tears).

The top six finalists were also paired for duets of Carol King classics. Abrams and Reinhart sang “I Feel the Earth Move,” while McCreery backed up Alaina during “Up on the Roof.” Durbin and Lusk’s asttempt at “I’m Into Something Good” didn’t go over well.

One of the six finalists will be eliminated tonight.

THE WHITE HOUSE RELEASED OBAMA’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE

The White House released President Obama’s long form birth certificate to try and put a stop to the “birther” questions.

The White House Communications Director said, “The President believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn’t good for the country. It may have been good politics and good T.V., but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country.”

Not shocking: Donald Trump took full credit for the release.

LISTEN: RK FROM HOT CHELLE RAE

NICKI MINAJ TALKS TO ALLURE MAGAZINE ABOUT HER WIG COLLECTION, BEING A BEAUTY ICON AND MORE

How many wigs do you have?

Nicki: “Right before I walk out the door, I grab one. Today, I wore a beige jacket and brown boots and I wanted to keep the whole earth-tone color scheme, so I did blonde. But it all depends on my mood. I just like to feel euphoric and free, so I’m going for more of the pink and the crazy, weird stuff now.”

Do your alter egos have their own styles?

Nicki: “They definitely do. Martha’s an older lady in her 60s or 50s. The nerdy look I did in my Saturday Night Live sketch was Dexter. I haven’t unveiled Roman yet. I can’t wait to show everyone what he looks like! I think that my more flamboyant stuff is definitely not Nicki-it’s basically Roman in drag.”

Do you have any beauty icons?

Nicki: “I love Cyndi Lauper’s style. I remember watching her as a kid and thinking, I don’t know who this is, but I want to hang out with her. Her style looked like a piece of art to me.”

What beauty task do you hate?

Nicki: “You know what’s so messed up? I used to love getting my nails done; it was a time of relaxation. Now, I want to choke myself because I can’t pause my life. In LA the nail technicians take 18 hours for a freakin’ fill-in. My phone goes off a billion times.”

WOMEN HAVE PASSED MEN IN ADVANCED DEGREES

For the first time in history, American women have passed men in advanced college degrees as well as bachelor’s degrees.

It’s part of a trend that is redefining who goes off to work and who stays home with the kids.

Among adults 25 and older, 10.6 million US women have master’s degrees or higher, compared to 10.5 million men. That’s about 10.2 percent of women with advanced degrees compared to 10.9 percent of men.

Women still trail men in professional subcategories such as business, science and engineering.

When it comes to finishing college, about 20 million women have bachelor’s degrees, compared to nearly almost 19 million men. Women first passed men in bachelor’s degrees in 1996.

Some researchers have called the economic slump a “man-cession” because of the huge job losses in the male-dominated construction and manufacturing industries. Women with full-time jobs now make over 78 percent of what men earn, up from about 64 percent in 2000. Women also now make up half of the US work force.

The number of stay-at-home moms dropped for a fourth year in a row to 5 million, or one in four married-couple households. That’s down from almost half of those households in 1969.

Stay-at-home mothers are more likely to be young, foreign-born Hispanics who lack college degrees.

JENNIFER ANISTON HATES HER NEW HAIRCUT

Jennifer Aniston reportedly hates her new haircut.

Her stylist said it would make her look younger– but she feels it makes her look older.

Aniston always had an issue with her nose, and now she feels her nose looks bigger, her face looks rounder, and in general, “zapped her sexiness”.

Her hair was her security blanket.

SIMON SAYS HIS ‘X FACTOR’ JUDGES, ARE…

Simon Cowell is talking about how he’s been assembling his judge’s panel for his U.S. version of “The X Factor” which debuts this fall on Fox.

He says  “it’s like casting a dinner party. You’ve got to have people on the panel you get on well with.”

And it sounds like Paula Abdul will return for said ‘dinner party’.

Cowell tells DeadlineHollywood that in addition to himself and Antonio “L.A.” Reid, the chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group, he has made up his mind to bring back Paula beside him– and to add Brit singer Cheryl Cole.

An insider says Cole is “pretty much a shoo-in for the show” and will be announced as a judge within less than a week.

Simon says when he “hired her initially, I’d only met her literally once when I offered her the job on [British] X Factor. I thought she was bright, cute, knew what she was talking about, ambitious. And you meet someone special a few times in your life.. And this girl is special. She’s just got a great ability to communicate. Shes a great judge. She’s smart. It’s just a hunch. If people take to her like the British public did, I think she’s going to do really well in America. And Fox was desperate to hire her.”

AS FOR PAULA:

Simon says, “I’ve always wanted Paula. Always been very vocal about that. I missed her the second she left the show. Always loved working with her even though she can be a pain. And I’ve been consistent about this. I don’t know what it is about her, but I’ve always clicked with her. You just have to get that chemistry, and she’s right. I’ve never found anyone better than her. I think there’s a good chance it will be her. We’ve agreed that we would meet as many people as possible, and now we’re reaching the deadline we’ve got to make the decision soon. But I think she’s got a really good shot.”

THE RUMORS:

“I keep reading about all these people we’ve approached and have turned us down for the show. And I thought this would be as good a place as any to say who we’ve approached, what’s true, what’s not true, so it’s like more official.” For instance,

DIDDY?

“I’ve read an interview where he said if he was approached for X Factor, that’s what he’d want. But there was no way that would ever happen. Not only that …. but we don’t have that kind of budget to pay these kind of salaries. So we didn’t even approach him.”

SNOOP DOGG

“I’ve read that he’s turned us down. Honest to God, I’ve met him before, but I’ve never once spoken to him about the doing the show.”

CEE LO

“I met him and his manager for 30 minutes. He told me he was doing “The Voice”. I said maybe we should set up a meeting with your producers. And then I started thinking about that afterwards and decided it’s sort of pointless doing that since he’s going to be committed to that show. And I already knew at that point that L.A. Reid was pretty much a done deal. So I just didn’t follow it up. But, again, we never offered him the show, and he didn’t meet our producers, and he certainly didn’t call me to say he turned us down.

JENNIFER LOPEZ:

Simon offered a similar explanation: that he’d talked to her but when she told him she was also talking to “American Idol”, he withdrew consideration of her immediately — and never offered her the job.

GLORIA ESTEFAN:

Simon reiterated that the singer just unexpectedly “turned up” in early April at the X Factor Miami auditions but that there were no discussions with her about the judge’s job.

MARIAH CAREY:

Simon admitted he’d “love” to have her but that it was clear she won’t be available for some time and will be focusing on her personal life because of the imminent birth of her twins.

CHARLIE SHEEN BEGS FANS ‘HELP ME GET MY JOB BACK’

Charlie Sheen begged fans to help him get his “Two and a Half Men” job back at his live tour stop in Tampa.

The arena was about half empty.   During the performance Sheen said “With your support, with a room filled with love, we are going to get my job back.”

He also made fun of Roger Ebert’s cancer and was flashed by a drunk woman.

Former NBA player Dennis Rodman made a brief guest appearance on stage, as did comedian Jeff Ross.

Outside the Tampa arena, there was a small group of women protesting. They carried signs with messages like “Stop degrading women” and “Go home Charlie Sheen.”

‘AMERICAN IDOL’ RECAP: STEVEN TYLER DROPS -BOMB, AND THERE WAS SOME SINGING… ATTEMPTED

‘American Idol’ singers performed 21st century songs, last night.

Casey Abrams planted a kiss on “Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez after his rendition of Maroon 5’s “Harder to Breathe”.

Steven Tyler dropped the–word after Casey’s, telling him, “You’re so —ing great.”

The audience, which included its share of preteen kids, was shocked, but Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and Fox head of alternative programming Mike Darnell laughed it off.

Scotty McCreery, the 17-year-old high school student of Garner, N.C., kicked off the show with his take on LeAnn Rimes’ version of “Swingin’.” Judge Steven Tyler wished that Scotty “boot-scooted” more during his routine, while Randy Jackson told him, his song choice as “safe.” Lopez warned McCreery that it’s time “to pull out the big guns.”

Lauren Alania and Jacob Lusk were also advised to push themselves further after taking on Sara Evans’ “Born to Fly” and Luther Vandross’ “Dance With My Father.” (Lusk pulled out his in-ear monitor while singing, and later complained of technical difficulties.)

Haley Reinhart received a lukewarm reception for diving into Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”

Stefano Langone had better luck with Ne-Yo’s “Closer.”

Early on, James Durbin wore an outlandish military-inspired ensemble and was accompanied by four marching drummers for Muse’s “Uprising.” Jackson and Lopez said it would be the best performance of the evening.

One of the top seven finalists will be eliminated tonight, after performances by David Cook and Katy Perry.

ANOTHER ARTIST ACCUSING LADY GAGA OF COPYING

New York based Electro Pop Artist Loli Lux is surprised by Lady Gaga’s new single “Judas” because she thinks it’s an exact copy of her own track, “WannaBE”.

”WannaBE” was written back in 2009 and later released in 2010 by LoliLand Inc.

Loli Lux comes from the same New York music scene as Lady Gaga and is known from her tours with Tommy Lee.

Loli claims she contacted producer RedOne and forwarded her “WannaBE” music video. Then came the rude awakening that Gaga’s single, “Judas” used the exact same hook as “WannaBE”.

She said: “I have always crossed paths with Gaga through having mutual friends, it’s not the first time she has borrowed ideas from me. It was previously my DJ trademark to wear military hats but I had to stop that after Gaga started doing the same.”

“It’s sad when my work ripped off like that but I have more new and really great unreleased material that I will keep safely guarded for now.”

Adele  admitted she has stage fright but that Beyonce helped her overcome it when she starts singing.

She said: “I’m scared of audiences. One show in Amsterdam I was so nervous, I escaped out the fire exit. I’ve thrown up a couple of times. Once in Brussels, I projectile vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don’t like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot.”

“I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full-blown anxiety attack. Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, ‘You’re amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I’m listening to God.’ “

A FACEBOOK DATING APP PROMISES REJECTION-FREE ROMANCE

There is a new Facebook dating app — called iWould– which allows you to go through your friend list and select anywhere from one to ten people you’d be interested in romantically. The application cross-references your list with those of your friends also using the app. If someone you selected put you on their list, you’ll both get a notice of the match.

The app was launched last month by Columbia University MBA graduates. They are “trying to help people connect with someone they’re having a hard time connecting with, someone in your life”.

The app aims to rule out rejection with its provision that if the interest isn’t mutual, your crush will never know: Lists are kept private to the users. Downloading or “liking” the app is public though, so your friends will know you’re using iWould.

Though the app is open to anyone on Facebook, its team is currently targeting marketing efforts to eight colleges and universities, including Cornell, Duke and Columbia. Currently, the app has more than 3,000 monthly users and it has been responsible for 163 matches.

The company recently received a valuation of $750,000 from a private investor.
