EMPLOYEES GIVE UNUSUAL EXCUSES FOR MISSING WORK

Workers have called in sick with some pretty wild excuses.

Some of the funnier excuses (from CareerBuilder.com):

One worker said he couldn’t make into the office because his brother had been kidnapped by a drug cartel while in Mexico.

A worker claimed he was unable to get to work because his 12-year-old daughter stole his car.

Another employee said a truck dumped flour into her convertible while she was in line at a coffee shop.

Others said they had injuries from a falling refrigerator, a bite from a deer while hunting, a back injury from chasing a beaver, a broken nose from falling out of bed and accidentally drinking antifreeze.

KATY PERRY, LADY GAGA AND BEYONCE LEAD THE 2012 PEOPLE’S CHOICE NOMINEES

The 2012 People’s Choice Awards polls are officially open. Official nominees won’t be named until November 8th, but Katy Perry is already leading with six nominations to her name.

Coming in behind her are Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Pitbull with five.

The 38th Annual People’s Choice Awards will air live on CBS January 11th.

INTRODUCING… PIZZA… IN A CONE

An amateur chef wanted to invent a portable pizza that wouldn’t drip and he found that the cone-shape was the best method.

He wrote on his web site, “Using an empty aluminum drink can as a cone-form and a standard pizza recipe, you can make your own pizza cones and take a new twist on a classic Italian dish.”

He makes his own dough, then he takes an aluminium soda or beer can, trims off the top with a sharp hobby knife or heavy-duty scissors, and cuts downwards to create 10 to 12 vertical ribbons. These ‘fingers’ are then folded out to create a conical shape for the dough to wrap into.

You put the sauce, and whatever other toppings you want, in the cone.

Just a cheese and sauce one has about 250 calories while ones with toppings will come out to about 355 calories.

‘DANCING WITH THE STARS’: FASHION GURU GETS THE BOOT

Carson Kressley was booted off “Dancing With the Stars” last night, leaving seven other contestants.

The fahsion guru came in with the lowest scores for his 1980s-themed routine on Minday night.

Singer Kelly Clarkson performed on Tuesday’s results show.

The remaining contestants are actors David Arquette, J.R. Martinez, reality TV personality Rob Kardashian, activist Chaz Bono, TV hosts Ricki Lake and Nancy Grace, and soccer star Hope Solo.
 

CHORD OVERSTREET RETURNING TO “GLEE”

Three months after leaving “Glee”, Chord Overstreet is in final talks to return to the show on a recurring basis.

Overstreet will reprise his role as Sam beginning with this season’s eighth episode (tentatively scheduled to air in early December).

“Glee” made headlines over the summer when word leaked that the show did not pick up Overstreet’s series regular option for Season 3. Producers invited him back on a recurring basis, but he declined.

It’s unclear how Sam will be reintroduced— or what his return will mean for exes Quinn and Mercedes.

JAY-Z AND KANYE WEST EXPANDING THEIR WATCH THE THRONE

Jay-Z and Kanye West are expanded their upcoming Watch The Throne tour.

The tour had to be “modified” because of the overwhelming demand for more dates.

New tour stops include a pair of shows in New York City at Madison Square Garden on November 7th and 8th, Chicago’s United Center on November 30th and an additional Staples Center in LA on December 13th. 

Tickets for the new shows go on sale on Friday.

JUSTIN BIEBER JOINING LADY GAGA FOR NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE

Justin Bieber has joined the lineup for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012.

He’ll hang with Lady GaGa live in Times Square for the New Year’s celebration.

The program will be hosted by Seacrest in Times Square, while Fergie will host performances in Los Angeles.

This year’s program is the 40th Anniversary of Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, which airs December 31st on ABC.

JENNIFER LOPEZ SPOTTED OUT WITH BRADLEY COOPER… THEY’RE ‘CASUALLY DATING’

Jennifer Lopez and Bradley Cooper were spotted together again over the weekend. 
 
The two stars were seen together in his car near her home in Calabasas, California on Saturday. 

They were also seen together about a month ago in New York City eating dinner together… her rep said that was a business meeting. 

Sources tell TMZ they are “casually dating.”

I’ve had my eye on this Fayettville, NC native for awhile now and it’s looking like I had the right idea.  J Cole…. who graduated with honors from NYU is smashing his way up the urban charts and will no doubt soon be a national sensation.  If you haven’t heard yet, allow me to introduce you to: J COLE  with his first single, “Work Out”
