The “Twilight” actor tells Parade.com that the beat downs happened when he was an unknown actor trying to get parts.

Corey Haim Found Dead

ABC News has confirmed that actor COREY HAIM, the ’80s teen idol best known for his rrole in Lost Boys, has died at age 38.  KABC-TV reports that according to the LAPD, Haim was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California, where he was pronounced dead at 3:30am Wednesday morning.  The LAPD reports that the death appears to be accidental.

Beginning as a child actor, Haim starred in movies like Lucas, Murphy’s Romance, License to Drive and Dream A Little Dream, in addition to Lost Boys.  He and fellow teen Idol COREY FELDMAN starred in the reality show The Two Coreys, which aired on A&E from 2007 to 2008.

The cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore will head to South Beach to film its second season.

The Miami Herald confirmed “it’s a done deal.”

A show source said,  “The show told the cast to be ready for shooting on March 20 but still won’t tell any of them where it will be shooting.”

“They are gearing up to begin the show but first the cast needs to get blood work done and background checks.”

LADY GAGA PLANNING A 3-D CONCERT AND DVD

Lady Gaga is planning a 3-D concert and DVD.

A rep for her label, Interscope Records, said that “there are talks about a 3-D concert and DVD in the near future.”

There aren’t any other details but Gaga fansites are starting rumors about plans for a 3-D DVD.

In December, Gaga released a deluxe edition of her “Fame Monster” album, which included a pair of 3-D glasses that she said explained would come in handy “for things happening soon.”

RIHANNA AND MATT KEMP ARE…. MEETING EACH OTHER’S FAMILIES!

Things between Rihanna and Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Kemp must be getting serious because Rihanna flew to Arizona to meet Matt’s family.

Rihanna flew in all the way from Berlin just so she could attend Matt’s charity event, Ante Up for Autism. Matt is very involved with the cause because his brother is autistic. 

A source told E! News: “Matt was happy she came.  It was an awesome show of support. Rihanna fit right in to the Kemp family as if they all knew each other. It was comfortable.”

LIL WAYNE FINALLY STARTS HIS JAIL SENTENCE

Lil Wayne was finally sentenced to a year in jail in New York City for having a loaded gun on his tour bus three years ago. He was taken away in handcuffs and started his sentence right away.

Wayne will serve his sentence in city jails and not in a state prison. He could be released in about eight months with good behavior.

Jail officials haven’t said where Wayne will be put but his lawyer plans to ask for protective custody for his safety and health.

An EMT and medical student from Lake Erie, Ohio says he’s got proof that UFO’s exist… he has the proof on camera and video, and some people think it looks pretty amazing.

He’s got about a half dozen pictures of something very unusual flying in the sky.

He also has video of a bright object, sometimes switching colors and moving fast and crazy up in the sky. He says they keep coming back… they’ve showed up for 5 nights in a row.

Mary Egan’s Corned Beef and Cabbage Recipe

• Buy a brisket or round
• Put in pot and cover with water
  • It should not touch bottom
  • Bring to boil
  • Reduce to a light boil
  • Cover and boil for 4 hours
• Take pot off stove and let cool
• Put pot in refrigerator overnight
  • With water and meat in pot
• Trim fat from brisket and dump water
  • Take ½ cup of Nancy’s sharp and creamy
  • 1 pound of brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 tablespoon of orange juice
• Mix until smooth
• Put beef in pan with BABBY CARROTS, SMALL RED (if big cut in ¼’s) and GREEN CABBAGE (cut and into ¼’s)
• Cover brisket with the sauce
• Cover tightly
• Back at 350 degrees for 45 min or until vegetables are soft.

John Mayer is trying to destroy his career

Billy Corgan also opened up about John Mayer’s controversial interview in Playboy and which he says what Jessica Simpson was like in bed. 

Corgan says “There’s things you should really just keep your mouth shut on.”

Corgan has never met Mayer but he says that Mayer’s recent controversial race remarks suggest “he’s trying to destroy his career.”

He adds that Mayer is “certainly a talented guy … It’s hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground – speaking as somebody who’s done it.”

Lady GaGa and Beyoncé’s ‘Telephone’ video will drop Thursday. The clip will get its exclusive world premiere during the March 11th episode of E! News.

‘THE BACHELOR’ DENIES HOOKING UP WITH THE EX GIRLFRIEND

 
Yesterday, we told you that a woman claiming to be an ex-girlfriend of “The Bachelor” Jake Pavelka says she was hooking up with him — but Jake says she’s just out to use his fame to  make some money!

The woman disguised her voice to remain anonymous — and called into a radio show (Steve Kramer’s radio show “That Guy Kramer” on Island 106 in Panama City, Florida). She said Jake contacted her after “The Bachelor” finished filming.

She claims, “He came to my hometown, met my family, met my friends and deceived everyone. And I feel like I’m forced to say something for the sole purpose of defending my honor.”

Jake tells Entertainment Tonight she’s not telling the truth.

He said,”The relationship with [the woman] was prior to ‘The Bachelor,’ it simply did not work out. There was no overlap with that or any other relationship during the show. It is unfortunate that people such as this are trying to financially capitalize on or disparage my incredible relationship with Vienna. I only wish everyone could be as happy for us as we are happy together.”

3. Myth: Split ends can be reversed.

Fiction. Unfortunately, once split ends happen, the only way to get rid of them is by getting a haircut. The good news is that the right hair products can definitely make them less noticeable.

4. Myth: Certain cleansers can make your pores smaller.

Fiction. Pore size is genetic, so even though there are tons of products out there claiming to shrink the size of your pores, they don’t work permanently.

5. Myth: Crossing your legs causes varicose veins.

Fiction. There are many ways to get varicose veins, but none of them are related to crossing your legs. Some examples of what could causes varicose veins include genetics, obesity and trauma to the skin.

6. Myth: Teeth whiteners can damage tooth enamel.

Fact. Make sure you follow the directions line by line when you use teeth whitening products. If the products aren’t used right, they can cause permanent damage to your teeth.

7. Myth: Sleeping on your back may prevent wrinkles.

Fact. The American Academy of Dermatology found that sleeping in certain positions can result in “sleep lines.” After time, the lines can turn into deep wrinkles, so flip over and get your sleep on your back.

Logan Lerman will be playing Spider-Man in the high school reboot.

He starred in “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”

Lerman is set to suit up and replace Tobey Maguire.

The new Spider-Man movie will borrow from Marvel’s ‘Ultimate Spider-Man’ storyline, in which Peter Parker gets his powers while still in highschool.

The film will be directed by Marc Webb, (of (500) Days of Summer fame). There are no rumors on who will replace Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson or James Franco, who played Harry Osborn.

Rihanna’s personal trainer — Cindy Percival — filed a lawsuit against Rihanna, claiming the singer owes her $26,144.14 in unpaid wages from 2009.

Olympic champion skier Lindsey Vonn was asked to appear in an episode of her favorite TV show, “Law & Order.”

Bob Costas confirmed the news to Lindsey during an interview before the Closing Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics.

25 year old Lindsey was cast to play a jury foreman.

No word on when the episode will be shot.

Simon Cowell is engaged. 

Several sources have said the “American Idol” judge is set to marry the show’s makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy.

WHEN TO TIP…AND HOW MUCH

Gas Attendants — None

In some states, full service is available to every customer at the gas pump. But regardless of how friendly and helpful your gas attendant is, you don’t need to tip them.

Shampoo Person — $2

Give a flat-rate tip for a shampoo and 15-20% for the hairdresser.

Doorman — $1 per Bag

It all depends on how many bags they help you with. $1 for each bag is recommended. If you get the doorman to get a cab, give an extra dollar.

Skycaps (Airport Porter) — $1 Per Bag

The standard tip is the same as the doorman but the $1-per-bag rate doubles if the skycap takes your bags to the check-in counter.

Food Retailers and Coffee Shops — Suggested None

Smaller restaurants have tip jars, but you shouldn’t feel guilty if you don’t leave anything. But if you visit a place frequently and have a good relationship with the person behind the counter, adding a tip to the jar now and then is a nice way to say “thanks”.

Bartenders — 15-20% of Tab

Your bartender’s tip should be determined by the strength of what you’re sipping. Soft drinks should be a minimum tip of 50 cents per drink. Mixed or other alcoholic drinks should be about $1 per drink.

Restaurant Servers — 15% of Pretax Bill

Restaurant workers have a minimum wage of $2.13 per hour. The wage was set in 1991, with the thinking that tips will help bring workers up to or above minimum wage. So tips for servers aren’t extra pay, it’s how they make a living.

The penny has a new design.

The US Mint changed the design for the “tails” side of the 2010 Lincoln Cent.

The penny’s new side features a union shield with 13 vertical stripes and a scroll draped across reading “One Cent.”

The stripes represent the 13 original states and the banner signifies “a single union in support of the federal government.”

(The design was chosen from 18 candidates and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner made the final call.)
