LISTEN: Buffalo Sabres Report With Derek Roy

LISTEN: “MANSCAPING” TALK!!!  VERY FUNNY!!!

‘THE BACHELOR’ DENIES HOOKING UP WITH THE EX GIRLFRIEND

Yesterday, we told you that a woman claiming to be an ex-girlfriend of “The Bachelor” Jake Pavelka says she was hooking up with him — but Jake says she’s just out to use his fame to  make some money!

The woman disguised her voice to remain anonymous — and called into a radio show (Steve Kramer’s radio show “That Guy Kramer” on Island 106 in Panama City, Florida). She said Jake contacted her after “The Bachelor” finished filming.

She claims, “He came to my hometown, met my family, met my friends and deceived everyone. And I feel like I’m forced to say something for the sole purpose of defending my honor.”

Jake tells Entertainment Tonight she’s not telling the truth.

He said,”The relationship with [the woman] was prior to ‘The Bachelor,’ it simply did not work out. There was no overlap with that or any other relationship during the show. It is unfortunate that people such as this are trying to financially capitalize on or disparage my incredible relationship with Vienna. I only wish everyone could be as happy for us as we are happy together.”

THE 10 WORST THINGS TO DO DURING A CONVERSATION

Bad conversation habits can ruin a relationship. Here are 10 no-nos:

1. Conversation Hijacking

So you’ve just finished telling a story about a funny memory. The Conversation Hijacker makes their move and says: “you think that’s funny, let me tell you this.” The Hijacker doesn’t plan on listening to you, but they expect you to listen to them. They like to top your story and it ends up as an unbalanced conversation dominated by the Hijacker.

2. Eye Contact Issues

Just like words in a conversation, good eye contact has a certain rhythm to it.

3. Ghost Listening

This is when you’re in an loud environment and you have to ask the person to repeat themselves more than once. So you end up leaving the conversation and react with a fake reaction without ever hearing anything.

4. Making Tasteless Jokes

Bathroom humor is a turnoff in the beginning. It should be introduced slowly.

5. Shameless Self Promotion

It’s obnoxious to drown someone with your accomplishments or how you know a cool celeb. You’ll look insecure and look like you’re trying too hard. Putting the best foot forward gently is not an easy art to master.

6. Me, Me, Me

The Me, Me, Me tells insignificant stories about their life, but completely forgets to ask the other person about their life. It might not be on purpose, but they magnify everything in their own world and that shrinks the importance of everything in the other person’s world.

7. My Name is Negativity

They might describe their average day like this: “of course my boss made me stay late, and of course I locked myself out of my apartment because that’s my life. Everything sucks.” Don’t fake positivity but remember, no one wants to spend time with a person who is too negative.

8. Dead End Answering

Answering with simple “yes,” or “no,” or one sentence means you’re detaching. So use short answers when you’re trying to get rid of someone, but if you like someone you should say more.

9. “Word Machine”

If you talk too much you’ll overwhelm someone. The person you’re with is more likely to remember that you talked too much than what you actually talked about. Conversation is about balance.

10. “I Only Read Us Weekly, OR Russian Literature”

There are people who only talk about pop culture, but there are also the condescending “too smart” types that aren’t down to earth. Everyone wants an intelligent partner, but they don’t want a preachy person or someone who makes them feel stupid.

IT’S OLYMPIAN LINDSEY VONN … ON THE WHEATIES BOX

Olympic gold medalists Lindsey Vonn, Shaun White and Seth Wescott are the latest athletes to grace the Wheaties box.

General Mills says the three Olympians will each get their own orange cereal box. Vonn will be the first female alpine skier to appear, and White and Wescott will be the first snowboard and snowboard cross athletes to earn the coveted spot.
